Island peak /Imja Tse 6189m is the most popular trekking peak to climb in Everest region. It is located on top of the Chukung glacier between Ama Dablam and Lhotse Mountains, the most popular trekking destination because of its challenging geographical position. This mountain was named “Island Peak” in 1952 AD, by a climbing team of Eric Shipton, due to its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. Island peak was first ascended in 1953 by a British team as preparation for climbing Everest.

A representative from Absolute H.J Sherpa Trekking will be waiting for you at airport holding your and the company's name. You will be transferred to your designated hotels; welcoming dinner is served.
Your guide for trekking will help out with preparation; this day will also be used for last minute shopping. Sightseeing to Bouddhanath, pashupatinath and Swayambhunath with certified tour guide. Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath and pashupatinath are included in World Heritage Site. It carries religious significance with astonishing beauties and carvings.
Pick up from Hotel and transfer to domestic airport and fly to Lukla-30min. You will see the stunning view of mountain from window. From Lukla you will head through pine and cedar woods. You will trek to cheplung village where you will see beautiful views of Mt Khumbila. Descent north of Lukla and camp at Phakding village.
From Phakding you will follow Dudh Khosi Valley walking 2-3 hours to Monjo, Jorsale, Sherpa village which is allocated in Sagarmatha National Park. Entering to Sagarmatha National Park, you will see good view of Thamserku(6608m). Namche is the gateway to Everest where Sherpa town belong and the last minute shopping spot.
Namche bazaar is the Centre of the Khumbu region and house government offices, ATMs, internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colourful market. It is a day for you to acclimatization by exploring Thame, Khumjung and green village.
From Namche you will trek to Tengboche biggest monastery of the Everest region, World Heritage Site of Nepal. In Tengboche you will see Mt. Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse, Thamserku and Ama Dablam. On the way you will see rhododendron forest and wlidlife anime.
Before leaving Tengboche, you will see the view of Beautiful sunrise ray over Ama Dablam mountain and descent to Imja river. Follow the trail of Sherpa village in Dingboche. You will see their agriculture field and yak graze.
After breakfast in Dingboche, you will ascent to Chhukung. You will walk three hour to reach Chhukung. Remaining hour will be leisured time.
It is a acclimatization day for you to adjust the body with high altitude.
After breakfast you will climb near by Chhukung Ri. While climbing Chhukung Ri oxgyen level males it harshe to climb.
From there you will see view of Mt. Cho-oyu, Lhotse, Makalu and many more. You will descent down to Chhukung.
After breakfast, you will collect and arrange the climbing equipment. It will take 4-5 hours to reach Island Peak base camp.
On the way, you go through Imla valley, glacier lake to Island peak base camp.
Overstay a night in camp.
It is a pre- climb training before heading toward Peak.
Your experience climber guide conduct a pre training session for you. You will arrange your climbing equipment.
You will wake up early in the morning around 12-1 am. after having breakfast you will climb over a rocky path along a ridgeline to cross a pass to the summit of Island peak.
You will climb up the mountain with the help of rope, ice axes, ladder and other gears. From the top of it you will see the stunning view of Mt. Lhotse, Mt Ama Dablam, Mt. Makalu and other mountains.
Spending sometimes in a peak and capturing the moment in the camera, it time for us to descent to base camp.
You will leave behind base camp and move ahead to Dingboche and cross the bridge over a Imla river.
After few hours you will reach to Pangboche.
After breakfast you will move towards to Namche bazzar through Tengboche, somare.
You will exist from Everest gate and pass through Phakding. You will walk until you reach to Lukla.
You will transfer to airport and take a short flight to kathmandu-30min.
Your guide will transfer you to hotel.
