Gokyo Village Everest Trek

Your guide for trekking will help out with the preparations; this day will also be used for last minute shopping. Sightseeing to Bouddhanath, Pashupatinath and Swayambhunath with certified tour guide. Bouddhanath, Swayambhunath and Pashupatinath are included in World Heritage Site. It carries religious significance with Astonishing beauties and carvings.

Pick up from hotel and transfer to domestic airport and fly to Lukla- 25min/30min. During the flight you will see the view of Choyo, Lhotse, Gauri Shankar and Mt. Everest.

On the way after Lukla you will head through pine and cedar woods. You will trek to Cheplung village where you will see beautiful views of Mt Khumbila.

Descend to north of Lukla and camp at Phakding village.

From Phakding  you will follow Dudh Koshi Valley walk 2-3 hours to Monjo, Jorsale, sherpa village which is allocated in Sagarmatha National Park.

Entering to Sagarmatha National Park, you will see good view of Thamserku(6608m).

Namche is the gateway to Everest where sherpa town belong and the last shopping.

Namche Bazaar is the centre of the Khumbu region and houses government offices, ATMs, Internet cafes, shops, restaurants, a bakery and a colourful market.

It is a day for you to acclimatization by exploring Thame, Khumjung and Green Village.

From Namche Bazaar you will trek to Dole.

On the way, you will follow the trails of Khumbila. Ascend to Mongla steep hilltop.

Descend to Phortse village and wak to Dole.

After walking 4-5 hours from Dole you will pass through small yak mountain pasture, waterfalls, Khele village, Lhabarma and to Luza.

You will see beautiful view of Choyu, peak of Kantega and Thamserku. Macchermo lies in Dudh khosi river.

You will see the view of Cholatse(6445m), Taweche(6540m) and Kyajo Glacier.

You will trek Gokyo valley passing through beautiful himalayas, descend to melt water river flow from Ngozumpa.

You will be excited to see monasteries and after walking few miles reach Gokyo Lakes. The trail leads you Ngozumpa Glacier moraines to Second Gokyo Lake.

There is a Sherpa village in Gokyo lake area and after walking 2-3 hours you will reach third Gokyo lake.

This day is for you to acclimatization. In the morning you will hike to Gokyo Ri for about 2 hours up and 1 hour downhill back to see sunrise before breakfast.

Rest of the day is at leisure to roam around and get comfortable with the altitude.

After hiking Gokyo Ri, Next day you need to take long day to hike Fifth Gokyo lake.

About walking 2 hours from north Gokyo Lake you will reach Thonak cho/ Tsho- fouth lake(4845m), then Ngozumpa cho/ tsho- fifth lake(4958m).

On the way, you will see beautiful view of Mt Choyu, Gyeuchung kang, Ngozumpa Glacier, Everest, Nuptse, Lhotse and Makalu.

Its time for us descend from Gokyo village to Phanga. It  is opposite trail from Machhhermo. You will carry beautiful memory while returning back.

You will see early morning summit of Gokyo Ri way back to Luza, Machhermo to Khumjung. It will take a whole day.

In the Khumjung, you will visit Khunde Hospital, Khumjuna Hilary School also known as Hilary School, Khumjung Monastery and yeti Scalp.

Khumjung Monastery is a historical monument built around 400 years back. You will see yeti scalp which is keep in a cabinet.

You will back down to Phakding, sightsee the unique architecture of Nepalese Style house and descend to Lukla.

You will transfer to airport and fly back to Kathmandu. Our guide will transfer you to hotel and remaining time is relaxing.
