- Could accurately predict how long guests would take to walk to various places

- Had so much history and knowledge to share

We were a slower, older (wiser?) group of 3 and Mingma was encouraging, careful and happy every step of the way and everything was thoughtfully planned out and executed. He knows so many people at every place we stopped that we felt extra-welcomed. And Pasan was such fun to have along, sometimes singing or talking with us about our respective cultures. Finally our other porter Gelgen was amazingly strong and always had a smile on his face. Mingma showered us with snacks, water and concern every step of the way. I would love to go back and do a longer trek and if I am lucky enough to do so, I will undoubtedly be booking with Mingma.

He moved at our pace and would slow down when we needed to or move faster when we had the energy. Climbing Poon Hill was one of the toughest physical things I have ever done. He stuck by my side, gently encouraging me to not give up, it was only a few more steps! I am glad I made it and truly appreciate his support and guidance.
